Background

Green Man Gaming collaborated with Warhammer 40,000 and Binary Planets to release a new video game. They required the creation and development of a brand-new official website for the upcoming release.

The goal

Here are the design requirements they specified:

  • Create a website for Aeronautica Imperialis video game.
  • Ensure the website is responsive to various devices.
  • Incorporate the visual style, themes, and branding of the Aeronautica Imperialis video game into the website's design. This includes using game-related colour schemes, fonts, and imagery to establish a strong brand identity.
  • Integrate a Steam widget to allow users to access and purchase the game directly from the website.
  • Showcase high-quality game screenshots, offering users a glimpse of the gameplay and graphics quality.
  • Clearly display Warhammer 40,000 copyright information and legal disclaimers to ensure compliance with intellectual property rights and copyright laws.
  • Include a section that provides quick access to community links, and press kits. Make it easy for users to connect with the game's community and access relevant resources.
  • Implement interactive elements such as animated UI components, interactive hover effects, and engaging transitions to make the website visually appealing and keep users engaged.
  • Develop creative content, such as storytelling elements, character backgrounds, and lore integration, to immerse visitors in the Aeronautica Imperialis universe and create a unique and memorable experience.
